尤利娅•Mikhailova is an associate professor of history. Her main area of interest is Comparative History of Medieval Europe. After history, her biggest passion is mental 健康. She is the chair of the Advocacy Committee of the ISPS-US, promoting humane, effective, non-coercive approaches to mental 健康 crises. She also participates in local initiatives and is always happy to share information about community resources and online support groups for people experiencing mental and emotional distress. 任何人 is welcome to email Yulia if you'd like to know more or want to get involved.

She earned her PhD in History with distinction, from the University 新墨西哥州 (2013) and MA in Russian from Michigan State University (2002). Her major fields are Medieval Europe and Early Modern Europe; her minor field is Gender and Sexuality; her dissertation was "Power and Property Relations in Russia and LAtin Europe: A Comparative 分析.

Yulia teaches history courses on European, Soviet and post-Soviet history, and on early history of science and technology. Her research interests also include gender, inter-ethnic and inter-faith relations, post-Soviet Russia, and modern uses of medieval history for political and nationalistic agendas.
